In a year where so much is wrong, what a great year to recognize what has been good. Even though Thanksgiving is over, I challenge us to keep the thankfulness and gratitude alive.
On a personal level, I am thankful for endless days of togetherness with my kids, for family strength that I didn't fully recognize before, for rare moments of quiet, for dreams to turn into goals, for continued opportunities to grow, for the chaos in order to learn to fully enjoy the calm, for friends who focus on love before anything else, for work and coworkers that give me joy, and hope for many many memories of those I won't be spending the holidays with.
The list really goes on and is different this year than years before.
On a Community and professional level, I am thankful to work with home care agencies who give so much to provide quality care for those in need. I'm very blessed and honored to work with such compassionate individuals.
I am also so very grateful for the caregivers who provide care. Without them, we could not be here. We could not be a part of the home care community, agencies could not provide the services they provide, and organized care at home would not be available for our loved ones. Caregivers are our unsung heroes.
But how do we show we are thankful?
Live Thankfully
My Monday Moore Mantra today is to live thankfully. Let's not just say we are thankful just one day a year, but rather live thankfully every day. This mantra is inspired by a quote by John F. Kennedy.
"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them."
