Ankota releases Public API for Home Care, LTSS and Day Services
Boston, MA
Ankota, a leading provider of software solutions for managing home care, EVV, adult day services and LTSS has announced the release of a Public Application Programming Interface (API) for enterprise integration. The API documentation is available at apidocs.ankota.net. The API enables enterprise class customers to connect their other systems to Ankota. For example, a company using BambooHR, Viventium, Paylocity for HR or SalesForce.com for CRM or HubSpot for lead capture can easily make a connection that will feed employee or client information into Ankota electronically.
"As Ankota welcomes more and more enterprise-sized customers in addition to our small to mid-sized base, we're seeing increased demand for integration with other best-of-breed systems. This API makes those connections easier and allows companies with IT skills to make the connections on their own," explained Ankota CEO Ken Accardi.
The initial API release enables integration for care / service recipients (patients), care providers / clinicians (workers), and visits / shifts, to be entered or updated from other system. These are the foundational people and processes managed in home care and day services.
As this capability evolves, there will be more services connected and a more low-code / no code tools connected (like Zapier, which enables integration without coding).

API Primer
For non-technical readers, an API enables software from different companies to be connected with one another. This is how you're able to have Google Maps integrated into your company website or to pay with credit card or PayPal on commerce websites. When done correctly, you don't realize that you've gone to a different site or application. As mentioned above, large enterprises often choose best-of-breed components within their enterprise system, like Ankota for their home care management and HubSpot for their marketing, lead capture and CRM. The API lets them work together.
The mission of Ankota is to enable the heroes who care for the elderly and disabled living at home to focus on care rather than tech. Ankota's highly customizable software offers home care agency management (keeping older folks living at home), Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) systems (enabling compliance and fraud prevention in Medicaid paid services), Long Term Supports and Services (LTSS) software (enabling people experiencing disabilities to live independently in their community rather than institutional care) and Day Services Software (enabling day programs or day habilitation). The solution includes software for office staff and care providers plus a public API for integration. Ankota's core focus is to assist in providing exceptional care at an affordable cost and striving to achieve population health. This vision drives Ankota's innovations. Learn more at www.ankota.com
