Ankota Launches Family App: Bridging the Gap Between Families and Their Loved Ones' Care
Boston, MA — Ankota, a Boston-based healthcare technology company, today announced the release of its new Family App, now available on both iOS and Android platforms. The app creates a direct connection between families and the care their loved ones receive, whether in home care, disability services, or adult day care settings.
"Families want to be involved in their loved one's care, but they're often left in the dark about day-to-day activities and who's providing support," said Ken Accardi, Ankota's founder and CEO. "We built the Family App to solve that problem—giving families visibility, peace of mind, and a direct line to the care team."
The Family App provides families with real-time access to critical information through an intuitive, HIPAA-compliant platform. Features include a care calendar showing scheduled services and visits, detailed information about care tasks and services being provided, and profiles of care team members with photos and bios so families know exactly who is caring for their loved one.
Families can communicate directly with the care agency through secure messaging, eliminating phone tag and ensuring important information is documented. The app also enables photo and video sharing in a secure, compliant environment—allowing families to stay connected to moments that matter, even when they can't be physically present.
"Whether it's a parent receiving home care, an adult child with developmental disabilities, or a family member attending an adult day center, families deserve to be partners in care," Accardi added. "This app makes that partnership real."
The Ankota Family App is available now as a free download for families whose care providers use Ankota software. Download it today from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
