5 Qualities to Look for in a Home Care Caregiver

patient-3793490_1280I recently came across an interesting article from Green Tree Home Care, entitled, "5 Practices of the Best Caregivers" that I wanted to share here with out Ankota solutions Home Care Best Practices blog

I found the article to be thoughtful, in-depth, and thought it would useful to a lot of our readers here.

As always, consider what Best Practices work well for your particular situation, but I feel that this article is good food for thought.

With all that in mind, I suggest that you read the entire article here, but here are the big picture ideas that are covered in the piece.  The article posits that quality caregivers posses the following attributes:

1. Lifelong Learners

2. A “Can Do” Attitude

3. A Great Communicator

4. Proper Lifting Techniques

5. A Caregiver is Completely Dependable

Give the full article a read and let us know what you think!  What other qualities do you look for?  What things seem important, but may not be?  What qualities seem less important but are, in fact, a "must have"?  What are your top 5?  Send us a note or post your thoughts below in the comments.
